Innovations for the Aircraft Industry
Since 1931, Walther Trowal has been producing machines and installations for the processing of surfaces. Representing the highest quality and reliability, the company is considered to be the inventor of mass finishing technology. “Trowalizing“ is synonymous with mass finishing.
Besides the processing of surfaces by mass finishing or shot blasting as well as the coating of small mass produced parts, Walther Trowal has also developed efficient and economic treatment of waste water resulting from these processes.
Especially for the aircraft industry, Walther Trowal has developed a wealth of processes and solutions in the field of surface finishing.
From corrosion protection coatings to deburring and surface polishing, we offer the proper and suited process to finish:
Mass finishing is a mechanical/chemical process for the deburring, radiusing, smoothing, polishing, cleaning, degreasing and pickling of individual, mass produced and serial parts.
The mass finishing process is determined by the interaction of machine, chips and compounds as well as water.
The chips act like many little files onto the work pieces, which can consist of various materials, such as metals, metal alloys, sintered metals, plastics and rubber. For very small and very large airplane components and from simple up to complex geometries, the mass finishing process can be applied.
Decades of experience and know-how are extremely important to select the proper combination of machine, work piece, chips and compounds in order to achieve the optimum result for our customer.
